West Church Walk for Water
Saturday, November 18th 2017
347 Kenoza Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830
Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico on September 20th, and most of the island’s residents continue to lack access to electricity and clean water. Water Mission is currently responding to the dire need for safe water in the following ways:
- We are working with the EPA and FEMA to address the needs of over 200 rural communities in Puerto Rico that have water systems managed by the Department of Health.
- To date, we have successfully provided safe water in seven communities, and we are completing assessments as quickly as possible every day.
- We have four staff members on the ground working around the clock in difficult conditions to meet the needs of people in these communities often referred to as “the forgotten mile.”
Please pray for the people of Puerto Rico and for the WaterMission staff as they work to serve those in dire need. To join our response efforts, please donate now.
Each dollar raised by this event is going to make an impact through a safe water community development project! Won't you consider making a donation to support our vision?
Thank you so much for your support, and we hope you will walk with us too!
